Held at Beltsville Community Center in Prince George’s County, MD, on September 21, 2024, this workshop provided middle school and high school students with essential financial knowledge and fundamental wellness practices to help them navigate both academic and personal success. 15+ participants explored topics like budgeting, smart spending, and the fundamentals of investing. The workshop also introduced students to hierarchy of life necessities, emphasizing the importance of goal-setting, self-discipline, and long-term financial planning. Additionally, participants also learned about holistic wellness and nutrition, where RGC highlighted simple herbal remedies, benefits of cold-pressed juicing, and how food choices impact mental and physical performance.
The workshop also introduced different thinking processes to help students build confidence in decision-making. Through real world scenarios, interactive discussions, and RGC’s guidance, participants received actionable strategies to build financial independence and personal resilience. To further support their growth, all participants received step-by-step guidance to set up their own brokerage account, initial funding for their accounts, free school supplies, and healthy snacks.
